Rosmah: I Never Show Him My Sadness

  • To his family, Najib is a loving and humorous dad.

On the first day when her husband became the Deputy Prime Minister, Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor has been well aware that her husband belongs to the nation and the people. She and her family can no longer be her husband's burden. Even when she was being mercilessly criticised, she has never shown him her sadness.

"This is my basic responsibility as the DPM's wife. Even if I'm pressured, I can't act like a spoilt child or complain to him like ordinary wives," she said.

She said if she cries in front of others, it will not only worry her husband but also those who want to embarrass her husband will as well gain their purpose.

She told Sin Chew Daily that sometimes her husband will comfort her that it is the price of being the DPM's wife.

Rosmah said her husband's responsibility is to resolve the country's and the people's problems. She has to be his supporter, handling all the chores and fully support him as a friend and wife.

She added that eveyone has privacy that should not be invaded by anyone, even his wife.

She said she would not mind if her husband set his sight on other women as it is normal for a man to look at women.

"I always believe that if it is yours, it will be yours. I don't want to focus on unnecessary things," said Rosmah.

She pointed out that her openness, tough character and the tacit understanding with her husband are developed after a long period of time. (Sin Chew Daily)

Rosmah: My Conscience Is Clear

Wife of deputy prime minister Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor said, the Altantuya Shaariibuu case should not become a stumbling block for the political career of her husband Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak. She said those were slanderous remarks made by his rivals in a bid to kill his political future, and were not the facts.

However, she was worried that people would choose to listen to rumours instead of facts.

She said, as long as her husband is working hard, sincere, responsible, persistent and confident, he will win the trust of Malaysians. She said she was very clear that her husband is a good guy, who is not easily battered or shaken.

"Why should his political future be affected by this incident? That is not the truth! I am only worried that people will choose to listen to rumours instead of facts."

She pointed out that Malaysians know how to discern between facts and lies. Even if the online media continue to come out with false and unjust reports, Malaysians will still find out the truth in the end, she added.

"Although some people keep on spreading venomous rumours, by comparison, people are more concerned about their jobs, incomes, and their children's education."

During an exclusive interview with Sin Chew Daily at her house in Jalan Duta, Kuala Lumpur, Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor talked about her feelings on the implication of Datuk Seri Najib in the murder case of Mongolian woman Altantuya Shaariibuu.

"I really don't care how people misunderstand me. The important thing is that my conscience is clear."

She stressed that her conscience is clear in the face of rumours and slanders targeted at her, and that it was not necessary for her to prove anything.

"I have not done anything wrong or hurt anyone. Why can't I lift up my head and walk with confidence? I really don't care how people misunderstand me. The important thing is that my conscience is clear."

She emphasised that her relationship with Najib is not as vulnerable as what others might have thought. They understand and support each other. Najib also keeps on reminding her that as the wife of a politician, she may have to encounter all kinds of rumours and verbal assaults.

"We understand and support each other. Please tell the whole world that I am not a dumb. I'm well aware of my husband's characters, just like he is well aware of mine. If there is anything I don't like about him, I'll talk to him in private. The same thing for him."

Most worried that people can't tell between what's right and wrong

Rosmah went on to say that politics sometimes made her shudder with fear. However, what she is most worried about is not her husband or herself, but the young generation of Malaysians.

She said, it is worrisome what kind of values young generation of Malaysians, who are raised in an environment filled with all sorts of doubts and bewilderment, will possess, adding that the noble values and merits passed down from our forefathers will have to be lost forever.

"It is not wrong to have political ambitions, but will you be pleased with the discarding of moral values and principles, as well as the destruction of those excellent values that could have been inherited by our children, just because of some personal gains?"

ROSMAH BUKAN KESEORANGAN.

Blogger Berita dari gunung said...

Tun belum tersilap cakap malah belum terlelap.

Rosmah bukan keseorangan dalam soal ini.

ROSMAH HOPES DR M, SITI HASMAH WILL REJOIN UMNO

KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 14 (Bernama) -- Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor, the wife of Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak, said Thursday that she hoped Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad and Tun Dr Siti Hasmah Mohd Ali would rejoin Umno.

Rosmah said she was confident that the former prime minister and his wife still loved Umno although they left the party in May.

She thanked Dr Mahathir for his willingness to grace the Ibu Zain Musical Theatre at Istana Budaya here tonight.

Speaking to reporters after meeting a delegation from the Malaysian Women Writers Association at her residence here Thursday, Rosmah, who is also the patron of the show, urged politicians especially women polticians to watch its as it portrayed Ibu Zain's life journey.

"Ibu Zain's encouraging words should be treasured by politicians especially Wanita and Puteri Umno members," she said.

Ibu Zain Musical Theatre executive producer Noraini Nordin said she also planned to stage the play in Permatang Pauh as part of the by-election campaign.

She said she would propose the idea to Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak who is heading the Barisan Nasional election machinery there.

The musical depicts the struggle of Ibu Zain whose real name is Tan Sri Zainon Munshi Sulaiman. Ibu Zain fought against the formation of the Malayan Union in 1946 and championed women's rights through Wanita Umno.

The play, which will be staged over seven days at Istana Budaya, ends on Monday.

Anwar: the connections in Imran's view.

Imran said...
Najib had explained that Saiful came to his office three months ago to get a support letter. The photo with Najib's aides was taken then. I am more inclined to think that Saiful is planted to tarnish Najib more than Anwar.

I don’t believe the allegation against anwar as much as I don't believe the other allegations and slanders running wild from both sides. We have seen the very systematic and professional strategy employed to slander Najib and his wife. I guess Najib’s long experience in politics has prevented him from making mistakes such as using his position to shut the witnesses’ mouth, unlike Anwar back in the 1990s. The use of C4 is just a strategy to link Najib with the Altantuya's murder.

I don’t believe that this episode is BN’s engineering for the reason that the BN are very well aware of how damaging the 1998-1999 experience had been and to be using the same trick is plainly committing harakiri.

The accusation against Anwar is probably meant to slander the BN more than Anwar. We could already see that many Malaysians are quick to point fingers at BN, particularly Najib, the real political target.

I believe Saiful is a player of a conspiracy to damage BN. It is puzzling that pictures of him with Najib’s assistant, Azlina, Dato’ Mustapha could be produced in lightening speed, or as someone had claimed, to be already published by bloggers or Saiful himself several months ago. What more, it’s already in Wan Azizah’s phone. I would not be surprised if Saiful, in the next few days, weeks or months, admitted that he had falsify the allegation under duress, insinuating Najib's involvement with the crime.

The allegation is a strategy to trigger a domino effect that could push the country into another anarchic like episode, similar to what we saw in 1997-1999: the world economy plunging; similar accusation leveled against Anwar; the BN leader's refusal to step down; BN breaking up and; opposition gaining momentum.

The question is what are the end points?
(1) Destroy BN for good. The 1997-1999 episode had weakened BN tremendously. Another uprising will deliver the final blow that would destroy BN for good.
(2) Unite the oppositions who are clearly cracking up, and to deviate attention from the repeated blunders committed by PR government.
(3) Pushing oppositions into government
(4) Pushing the country into anarchy
(5) The final endpoint is to destroy Islam in Malaysia, being the only country where Muslims are progressive

Based on the tract record of BN, I am not really against other political parties taking over the government. However, the current PR pack, set up in a haste, and which appeared intent to gain leadership in an undemocratic ways, would not be my ideal government in waiting. Particularly, when their supposedly representative of Islam, PAS, aside from some rhetorics from Pemuda PAS, had badly failed to represent the voice of Islam.

In conclusion
(1) I don’t believe the sodomy allegations against Anwar back in the 1990s as much as I do not believe that they were staged by Mahathir. I believe both Anwar and Mahathir were victims of the puppet master. It was unfortunate that Mahathir had fallen into the puppet master's trap by committing one mistake from another.
(2) I don’t believe the recent sodomy allegation against Anwar and I also don’t believe the allegation was engineered by BN. If BN had wanted to slander Anwar, for sure they would plant some other low profile individuals, rather than Saiful who's photos taken with BN officials are of no secret, being published in some blog since the last few months.
(3) I don't believe the allegations against Najib and his wife. It is unfortunate that Anwar and Wan Azizah had taken used the issue to support them politicallyWho is/are then the puppet master? Think!

Interesting: Looking at issues rocky's way, both sodomite and dynamite

F r o m ROCKY BRU...
From Tivoli to Unit 1151, Kondo Desa Damansara

The following police report was made on 28 June 2008 at 5.45 PM by Mohd Saiful Bukhari bin Azlan, who turns 23 next week (i/c no 850706-01-5687):
Majikan saya Dato Seri Anwar Ibrahim - Ketua Umum PKR."

Logically, people who pooh-poohed RPK's statutory declaration and saw it as a political ploy will pooh-pooh this police report and see unseen hands, too. And vice versa, right?

I never believed Anwar was a sodomite, just as I don't believe Rosmah was there at the scene of Altantuya's murder. My belief, however, makes no difference to the people who believe that Anwar is indeed a sodomite and to the people who have already made up their minds that Najib must be linked to the Mongolian's murder.

There are fanatics among us today and we live in difficult times.

My advice (to those who aren't yet fanatics) is still the same: let the police investigate the claim. If it goes beyond that, let the courts hear the case.

After all, don't we have a more credible judiciary now? A more credible police force? A more courageous civil society movement? A freer and more democratic Press under Prime Minister Badawi.

Badawi says his Government has nothing to do with the sodomy police report against DSAI. He says he was shocked. Click here to read his shock. And Anwar says the police report by his private assistant was total fabrication, here.
