FIRE WITH MALAYSIAKINI Ana bekhair, shokran! Teresa

I guess it is the way we handle democracy
that make us different compared to some other countries. Remember the younger days when we play for hours with a new toy until it is broken. Abdullah allowed it to flow along the murky river. There is no reinforced embankments to control the flow and the bank is about to give way. Lets not talk with malaysiakini about water now, fire is more interesting.

2. Water can get us drowned but fire can make us burnt. Ana bekhair, shokran my dear Teresa as boys and girls were seen crying in pain in Ghaza. Arabic has pronounced gutral sounds and thus make everyone who speak arabic stronger than normal. There is fire in the language and there is fire in their temperament too. But I am fine here, thanks, dear Teresa.

3. I was watching a war movie on Bosnian War the other day, with american soldiers playing double sword kind of fighting. I guess world is not played as fair as what little folks want it to be. Then a man in that movie was seen saying "i dont care if i have to kill a thousand to save him". At a more sombre hour, another guy will narrate the same moment as "i would rather kill a man to save a thousand lives"

4. Palestine may just have to live with it, playing with fire and lives. Israel will do what they have to do, to keep fire glowing. Khairy had said it, in a way almost similar to Anwar decades ago. But then, Anwar shouted louder. What are we going to do dear Teresa?

Ana bekhair, shokran my dear teresa.

BARGAINING WITH MALAYSIAKINI: Neomu BisayoTeresa Kok

traditional korean dress
With petrol at its lowest low, life is at least tolerable. Travelling is made feasible to take kids along on a balik kampung trip. Cycling like the Jerit groups is a no-go unless it is necessary. But things sold in supermarket are still costly and reluctant to go down. Then guys in korea will say Neomu Bisayo.

An old malaysikini news portion:
Kok sues Utusan, Chamil for RM30mil
Hafiz Yatim | Dec 12, 08 10:58am
breaking news updated 5.50pm Selangor exco and Seputeh MP Teresa Kok has filed a RM30 million defamation suit against Umno-owned Utusan Malaysia and prominent writer Chamil Wariya.

2. It is an attempt to keep Teresa Kok relevant in blogsphere and Malaysiakini to prolong her momentum. Today I will say to her Neomu Bisayo.

3. In an online dictionary [for tourists] Neomu Bisayo is described as it is too expensive. [You may manage to haggle down the price, during your shopping experience, and then again you may not. But most Koreans find it pleasant that you tried to say your sentiments in the local language!]

4. Dear Teresa,I will say Neomu Bisayo to the RM30 million defamation suit against Chamil Wariya dan Utusan. With respect, lets share with Teresa Kok what lies underneath the multi million ringgit claim.

5. Seputeh Member of Parliament Teresa Kok Suh Sim on Friday filed a RM30 million defamation suit against Malaysian Press Institute chief executive officer Datuk Chamil Wariya and Utusan Malaysia Sdn Bhd over an article published in the Malay daily on Oct 12 this year.

Date: 12 December 2008
Court:
KL High Court
Legal firm: S.N. Nair & Partners.
Teresa Kok: 44, a Selangor state executive council member.
Chamil Wariya: the contributor of the article as first defendant.
Utusan Melayu Sdn Bhd: published the said article as second defendent.
Teresa's claim:
  • the article's contents implied that she was a racist, a religious and racial bigot, untrustworthy person and a bad politician.
  • the article also implied that she was a chauvinistic politician who is anti-Islam and anti-Malay.
  • the manner she was portrayed in the article were unfounded, baseless, bereft of the truth, reckless and is in gross negligence.
  • the article was written in bad faith to instigate hatred and ill will against her in the eyes of the public.
What Teresa want:
  • seeking general damages of RM30 million,
  • seeking aggravated and exemplary damages.
  • seeking an injunction to restrain the defendants from further uttering, speaking or publising similar contents or words defamatory of the plaintif.
6. There are ways in visualising what is RM30 million. For a young technician with a salary of RM1000 a month, it is the total income for 2,500 years. For a CEO with RM30,000 a month, it is equivalent to the cumalative income for 80 years. It is also like 500 units of RM60,000 terrace house.

7. Assuming it is RM2 for a gallon of petrol, we can purchase 15,000,000 gallons. I think that will be enough to support travellings for all Malaysian for jalan-jalan balik kampung.

My dear Teresa, Neomu Bisayo I think.

WALKING WITH MALAYSIAKINI: Teresa Kok is who?

A glance at the breaking news in Malaysiakini by Hafiz Yatim put me on alert mode. She wasn't wearing kimono on TV3 prime news at 8.00, but somehow the suit was too white for her. I have been visualising her with exiting multicoloured suit hoping I may comprehend further that she is really into the "A multi-cultural Malaysia" battle cry . But it doesn't matter much. Dress simply is something one puts on a naked body. But soul is something else as I mentioned earlier while romancing with Malaysiakini.

From Malaysiakini
Hafiz Yatim | Dec 12, 08 10:10am
breaking news updated 5.50pm Selangor exco and Seputeh MP Teresa Kok has filed a RM30 million defamation suit against Umno-owned Utusan Malaysia and prominent writer Chamil Wariya. [Kok sues Utusan, Chamil for RM30mil]

2. Then I remembered the other case with New Straits Time. They [people and many of them] went after Rocky Bru, a blogger. Now with Teresa, a blogger is all out running after a newspaper and a writer for 30 millions. Teresa a blogger? check it out .......[
Sassy MP Teresa Kok]

3. I will not look at Teresa on this particular case as Selangor exco and Seputeh MP. As an MP she has other battles to fight. Most battles are issue based.

4. The same TV showed another group of men and women with banners demonstrating on something many many years. If my memory serve me well, then the date must be 1948 [1946?]. It was about a group of 20 something chinese killed [or rather beheaded] by British Soldiers. Sometime back, Hindraf championed a similar issue about displacement of Indians here in this multicoloured little peninsular
formerly known as Tanah Melayu.

5. It would probably be about time for the third race, the Malays [Melayu] come out from their ketuanan dilema with a memorandum or two, not only to the British but to the other race as well. I dont know for what ever cause. Some one can think of something. Will raping the soul of Tanah Melayu be a good cause? ILL TREATMENT and DISPLACEMENT a reasonable cause? Will someone come out and say some thing
decent to rewrite the story on Dato Sagor, Dato Maharaja Lela, Dol Said, Tok Janggut, Ngah Ibrahim etc, etc, etc. A story is not a piece of history.

6. Or shall we forget about past mishaps, but on this rather nice night, I dont think Teresa will forget the little cerpen in Mingguan Malaysia. Someone was looking at it as publicity stunt piling on one another. A publicity war and battle is going on here. I suppose it is all about freedom. A guy claiming it as his right to write things in Newspaper as lesson for everyone. Another person on the other hand thought that that short story refers to him/her. She thought Josephine = Teresa. For me, I have been thinking all along that Josephine is just a faceless person with make-up on. Josephine wasnt a sweet little harmless person.

7. Josephine = Mary = Nurul = Albert = Ahmad = Swee Lim = Arumugam = Jagjeet = Kurita = Nordin = body and soul. Josephine could just be me on some other time zone and some other reincarnated life
.

8. Is Josephine MP Teresa? or is MP Teresa Josephine?. Who [ dare in japanese] is Teresa really? As for me, Josephine is just a name printed on an old newsaper and Surat Kabar Lama Van has has taken it away weeks ago for a meagre 25 cents.

beritadarigunung. I am just a weeping widow, with 30 brinjal plant to attend to...... and I do understand what's under these headings [

ROMANCING WITH MALAYSIAKINI: aikurushii Teresa Kok.

Let me end this wet day romancing every seconds with Malaysiakini on our dear Teresa Kok. Aikurushii , kawaii, kirei, utsukushii, miryoku-teki. ................. ................... .....................

Dear Teresa, according to Edgar Alan Poe, a short story should be like a window into someone else’s life, in other words it doesn’t really matter what happened before and it doesn’t matter what’s going to happen after. On that, permit me to diverge a little, it is not someone's life, but our very own sensitive and delicate life lump together in a big basket called citizenship.

My Dear Teresa.... which colour would you like most? Red, blue, green or you would rather go for the multi-culoured one? Yes, we all are multi-coloured, multi-skilled and multi-lingual and that is great especially so in this god given multi society as beautiful as ours. You remember the ethnic cleansing happening in the Balkans years ago. I suppose you remember how the short moustache kept sticking on the face of the greatest ethnic cleaner of all, Adolf Hitler? Yes my dear Teresa, in some place colour dont mix. But my teacher tought me how to mix colours and walla, you suddenly become a competent colour/social engineer or artist rather. Forget about this mental slip for a while and zoom into the purpose of our trip, romancing on River Shimanto.

The Shimanto River is the longest river in Shikoku. It has about 300 tributaries and flows down about 1,200 meters (3,937 feet) from the south flank of Mt. Irazu (1,336 meters (4,383 feet) high) to the Pacific Ocean at the Tosa Bay. Since the riverbed is tilted very slight, the Shimanto River is the only major river in Japan that has not been dammed anywhere. Therefore, the river flows as naturally as it has always done. With less industrial development in the adjacent area, and the efforts of people to keep the river clean, means that the waters remain crystal-clear right down to the ocean. The river is thus sometimes called the "last clear stream" in Japan.

I gave you the word aikurushii. It means adourable. Of course you are adourable my dear Teresa, thats why the majority of us single you out as our adourable representative in the Big Hall. There are other equally pleasant words that i can choose, like miryoku-teki ~ attractive, Utsukuchii~beautiful, kirei~pretty, and kawai~cute. But somehow aikurushii suits you perfect.

Most of us are very conversant on issues as its face value. The recent Mumbai terror is another test on humanity. The immediate truth to most is a another case of crazy youngsters going on killing spree. As day passed by, the issue begins to take shape when the kids are said to be of Pakistani origin and holding british passport. A local incident in Mumbai begins to grow into a geopolitical stature, when America, Britain, Israel, India and Pakistan are going for verbal combat. But they, the Indians have a trump card, a sole survivor of so-called terrorist in their hand. Teresa, remember the story about 'a bird in the hand'?. We can almost guess what is going to happen in weeks to come.

The Indian market reacted negatively to Mumbai incident through stock exchange plunge, tourism industry decline, and investors scared off. Pity every sector and every person entangled as the aftermath of Mumbai terror.

As you probably had noticed, things in Greece turned from bad to worst. Riot police are fighting running battles with mourners after the funeral of a teenager whose shooting by officers triggered Greece's worst rioting in decades. They are now running to the third day of riot and chaos. But dear Teresa, as Greece riot police fought running battles with protesters outside Greece's parliament in Athens and other cities on Tuesday, the opposition socialist party has called for elections to end four days of protests. Cant you see the connection Teresa? Another case of End justifying the means! And thats how life is perpetuating itself through wickedness and sorrow.

I dont know Teresa, but ISA may prevent such incidence, [massive riots in Greek cities ‘Pressure Cooker’ Greek Riots Fueled by Graft, Economic Woes , Rioting Rocks Greece , Greek government reeling as rioting enters fourth day Scotsman, Athens burns and with it a history of democracy EUobserver.com]

My dear Teresa, things in life are so interconnected and at times so diff icult to separate issues from effects, and the good and the bad. Now while you are sitting on the bank of Shimanto River, your face glow as the heart is pumping blood to capillaries nearer to the skins to protect you and your soul from the wicked weather.

Take care dear Teresa.

ROMANCING WITH MALAYSIAKINI: My Dear Teresa.

I was reading Teresa's latest on the two girls and I thought of sharing it with Malaysiakini on this long and wet day, a day some people will make sacrifices qorban. It was really nice of you Teresa and getting the two off the street is very commendable indeed.[ Saving two girls from vice Teresa, the sassy. ]

http://c2.photoshelter.com/img-get/I0000uppRyxcsRwo/tMy dear Teresa...., Lets stretch our imagination wild and far beyond any imaginable horizon. A cold and windy day somewhere far, by the sacred river, Ganges River. Of course you know that place, because you studied geography as I did. Not only did we know Ganges, we had tasted the sweetness of many rivers through text books and through lessons given by our teachers. Yes dear Teresa, some of our teachers are Malay, some are Chinese and some as you guess correctly, Indians.

Remember Yang Tze River?, and Nile and Amazon and Yellow and Mekong and Niger and Indus and of course our own Gombak River. Gombak is such a beauty, romancing its way through the larger part of Kuala Lumpur.

I am imagining you and me sitting side by side at the bank of River Ganges. Just imagine we were both Indians of dark complexion with sharp nose and big eyes. And of course we were speaking in Tamil. Hmm... that would be sweet. You and me speaking and understanding each other in an ancient langguage. To us then, Ganges is sacred. We call it Gangamai, meaning "Mother Ganges". We believe that bathing it its waters washes away sin. To die on its bank assures eternal peace of the soul.

No Teresa, you and me are still here because we are not dead yet. Of course we can stretch further and wilder but for the purpose of this little essay, we just sit on its bank, splashing water on each other's face.

Back to your wonderful act in getting the two Chinese nationals off the dirty street, I am sure dear Teresa, you would do the same, if the two are Indians like we were in our dreams on the bank of River Ganges, or two Bajau girls from Kota Belud, or two Melayu girls from Kota Sarang Semut or two local chinese girls of Foochow tribe from Sitiawan. Will you do as we promised on the bank of sacred river?

Dear Teresa, I was watching TV last night and good lord!, how the death of a friend triggered fiery riots and chaos in Greece. They are so young, dear Teresa. [
Greek youths riot after police shoot boy guardian.co.uk, UK ] If you can do me favour, dear Teresa, ask the youngsters off the streets. Street shall never be used for reasons other than what it is intended to serve. Take off political rally off the streets dear Teresa. And that leafletting too. [sloone's word]

Remember the sight of Tian Chua sitting heroically in front of an armoured car. Oh, he was skinny then and still is. But thats the way it is, he carved his political pathway the way he knew best. Teresa, you are smarter than most. Let Uncle Kit and Uncle Anwr dust their face that way. They enjoy it and to them it is manly. Yes dear Teresa, including Uncle Anwr! Manly........

Dear Teresa, shall we meet again, say on the bank of Shimanto River in Japan dreaming of Japanese through their culture, songs and values. And of course you will be wearing kimono my dear Teresa.

Commenting malaysiakini: Teresa, Hamid and Josephine

Oh, bukankah kita semua sering minta difahami. Anak-anak minta perhatian. No! Bukan lagu rakyat atau nasyid! Its not folk song or hymns from cathedral choir. It is a manipulative political songs bordering insanity, where history has splashed red paint on its pages. Irish are not jokers to be taken for granted and Palestine is oozing blood through Jordan River..... now thats the reality of song, the real song.

From Malaysiakini
S Pathmawathy
Malaysiakini: Regarding Utusan Malaysia, where there has been a clamouring of voices for action to be taken against the daily for some articles that have been published – the 'cerpen' (short story) and the poem. What is your reaction to that?
From Malaysiakini
Syed Hamid: Utusan 'given warning'
S Pathmawathy | Oct 24, 08 1:01pm
The Malay daily has come under severe criticism for publishing a short story on the assassination of a politician modelled on opposition parliamentarian Teresa Kok.

2. Teresa is just too tiny to soak hands in the red water of Jordan River or too modern to understand the death of irish matyr in prison, thinning to death.

3. The game played by some politicians is almost at the circumference of insanity. We can read the white paper of Musa Hitam to appreciate the insanity of games. The white paper could have turned yellow or at worst eaten by termites, but the pain remains in the heart of millions. Would Teresa care?

4. Would Teresa care about the plight of Budget Taxi drivers skinned alive in the red hot tarmac of KLIA for 145 ringgit more. What the hell is Transport Fund?... the billions donated by folks as they queue to the pumps. These drivers sleep at road shoulders to wake up in time for the next trip.

5. Then Azan becomes an issue worth yelling about. For God sake, has anybody gone to get petitions against funeral drummings. And yet folks, black, white, blue, yellow and red form waves in the crowd of Lion Dance. Are we not Malaysians?

6. Politicians extend their PRU12 campaign period aggresively. We send them to the parliment to debate, and yet they find it convenient to parade on streets. Not all street allow dual traffic flow, some are one way. Worst still, some are cul-de-sacs. A point of no return!!

7. Can we start learning to live together in peace as we have done decades ago. And as for Syed Hamid, nobody can argue the power in your hands. Use it wisely.

8. To politicians, take off your winter coat of political absurdity and pick up flowers of the spring, the unity of folks. Look around and embrace reality. That cerpen is not even real, otherwise it will be called "news". By the way, Josephine is such a lovely name.............

Mengulas Malaysiakini: Teresa Kok dan penculikan

Dari malaysiakini
'Kidnapped' Seputeh MP speaks up

Rahmah Ghazali | Oct 13,
DAP parliamentarian Teresa Kok expressed disappointment over her recent arrest under the Internal Security Act (ISA) but the deputy home minister shot down her question on technical grounds. This, among snippets from today’s proceedings. 'Kidnapped' Seputeh MP speaks up

BERITADARIGUNUNG:

Suara keras pihak pembangkang datang bertali arus.
