Use Of Pusrawi Medical Notes Is Subjudicial To Anwar's Case

BUKIT MERTAJAM, Aug 24 (Bernama) -- The use of the Pusrawi medical note on Mohd Saiful Bukhari Azlan in the campaign for the Permatang Pauh parliamentary by-election is subjudicial to the ongoing court case, said Home Minister Datuk Seri Syed Hamid Albar.

He said those distributing the pamphlets on the medical report were an irresponsible lot because the sodomy case involving Mohd Saiful Bukhari and Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim would be heard in court.

"Let us not use the people's court by printing and distributing such pamphlets because if the report were true, it would be used as evidence in court and everyone can submit their own evidence," he told reporters after attending a briefing at the Seberang Perai Tengah District Police Headquarters, here Sunday.

On Aug 7, Anwar pleaded not guilty in the Sessions Court in Jalan Duta, Kuala Lumpur to the charge of sodomising his former aide, Mohd Saiful Bukhari, 23, on June 26, at Unit 11-5-1 Desa Damansara Condominium, No 99, Jalan Setiakasih Bukit Damansara, Kuala Lumpur.
