SARAWAK: PRS President Dismisses Association With PKR

Parti Rakyat Sarawak (PRS) president Datuk Seri Dr James Jemut Masing Saturday brushed aside rumours which alleged that the party is cooperating with Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR).

Speaking to reporters after chairing the PRS supreme council meeting here, he said that he could not determine where the rumours originated as well as why it had spread around.

He said the supreme council had also deliberated the issue in the meeting and those who attended had affirmed their loyalty to the Barisan Nasional coalition.

"We had no discussion with them (PKR) and don't not intend to (have talks with PKR)," he added.

All the supreme council members attended the meeting except for party secretary-general Datuk Dublin Unting who had been in a coma and is currently being treated at a medical centre in Kuching after suffering from a stroke in May.
