THE ballot boxes have just arrived at the tally centre at 6:40pm. At the close of voting, at 5pm, a total of 38,144 voters turned up to cast their votes, recording 65.25 per cent of voter turnout.

However, according to an Election Commission spokesperson, these were unofficial figures. The official figures will be known when the polling chiefs report to EC later tonight.
