Saturday April 19, 2008

No right to call for PM’s resignation, says Nazri

By RUBEN SARIO

KOTA KINABALU: No one in Umno has the right to call for Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi to step down as Prime Minister, party supreme council member Datuk Seri Nazri Aziz said on Saturday.

He said the Umno president was also chairman of the Barisan Nasional which was handed a majority in parliament by Malaysians during the March 8 polls.

"What right has anyone in Umno to deny the wishes of the people?" said Nazri, the Minister in the Prime Minister's Department, after meeting senior National Security Council officials here on Saturday.

He said those who demanded for Abdullah to step down were "foolish" and did not understand what democracy was all about............

BERITADARIGUNUNG: His view, but not necessarily the view of Padang Rengas folks. he didnt say who he had consulted. I dont think he has the heart and gut to even ask jamal nasir. For now lets take it that, his statement is truly his, nothing to do with UMNO's feeling or Padang Rengas's sentiment. Please take note that PRU12 send Nazri back into parliment with the hands of Padang Rengas people; yellow or black, man or woman, old or young, dirty or clean.

Nazri must visit and ask old people of Padang Rengas whether they like what they saw in TV recently when he lost his temper and wisdom. Dont ask the saluran 6 kids, because they never cross or pangkah him.

Maybe we have to explore a little bit to Chenderoh and Lubuk Merbau to really understand the real UMNO SENTIMEN!!... The old Hamzah Zain may want to add a wee bit more to the mind of Nazri Aziz. Hamzah is by the way, a local without doubt.
