Former Chief Minister Datuk Seri Salleh Said said the meeting with the prime minister, attended by him and five Sabah Umno leaders last Saturday, was merely to convey their views on various current issues.
“What is important is that we’ve aired our views on various matters, including on the question of having a bigger role for Sabah leaders at the federal level,” he said.
Salleh was commenting on a statement by Sabah Umno secretary Datuk Yahya Hussin in the local media today that the six, who met the prime minister in Putrajaya on Saturday, were neither representing Sabah BN nor Sabah Umno. - nst
