ZAID IBRAHIM: his status in Malaysiakini and media.

Zaid has attracted some peculiar attention with his short stay in Abdullah's kabinet. Why things end up this way. Wasnt he the chosen one? Wasnt he the vocal minister championing scarry issues. Malaysiakini has potrayed him in a way that UMNO friends would say otherwise. So, what is Zaid's game plan. Why the chosen one, Abdullah's own choice end up this way? A misguided wisdom maybe?

PUTRAJAYA, Dec 3 (Bernama) -- The sacking of former Minister in the Prime Minister's Department Datuk Zaid Ibrahim from Umno should serve as a lesson for other leaders in the party, Umno Supreme Council member Datuk Seri Dr Rais Yatim said Wednesday.

He said party members and leaders should understand the party's struggle and not resort to actions deemed to be extreme.

"If the council did not act, it would be seen to be toothless because the demeanour (of Zaid) was actionable," he said when asked to comment on Zaid's sacking from Umno.Rais: Sacking Of Zaid Should Serve As Lesson For Other Umno Leaders Bernama
