Seputeh member of parliament Teresa Kok's office in Sri Desa Entrepreneurs Park in Kuchai Lama was broken into and vandalised on Wednesday.
"The man, believed to be mentally unsound, was spraying the office sign, when one of Kok's helper apprehended him," he said, after officiating a blood donation campaign at police headquarters yesterday.
Sabtu said the man had sprayed: "Teresa you are a liar, Shanghai Garden", in Mandarin using black paint.
"Her helper lodged a police report at 3.30pm at the Petaling police station, but withdrew the report at 10.30pm the same day."
"Though the report has been withdrawn, police will still investigate the incident."
On another matter, Sabtu said police were prepared for the candle- light vigil to be held at the Indian High Commission in Jalan Duta at 6.30pm today.
"No one has applied for a permit from the police and the gathering will be considered illegal. However, we are prepared to handle the crowd."
The candlelight vigil is expected to be held to remember the victims of the terror attacks in Mumbai, India, and to protest against terrorism worldwide. It is learnt that SMSes about it have been widely circulated.
